Our University’s Chuncheon Campus Student Dormitory, in order to help the academic pursuit of the students, in 1980, 240 female students were accommodated at a female dormitory called Nanjiwon. Recently the Global Dormitory, BTL, and International Dormitory has been opened to accommodate about 25% of the undergraduates which is about 4300 students. Not only bigger in size, it has also been used by even hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate students of foreign nationalities. The dormitory also allows students to actively respond to the upcoming globalization. There is a particular dormitory wherein you can have English conversations etc. We are committed to operating a variety of English language programs in order to become a dormitory which copes with the direction of the development plan of the University-oriented globalization. Additionally, in order to make a family-like life be possible and to create an environment that can ease life inside the dormitory, cafeterias, computer rooms, reading rooms, lounge, fitness rooms and a variety of facilities are featured in the dormitories. However, the development of our University’s student dormitory’s will not stop at the present. To ensure that the residents who move in to the dormitories be satisfied, all our staff promise to do our best to serve, especially in sympathizing with the students' demands and problems and take them with all necessary priority. We promise to ensure that all students receive the love of family and dormitory, to the extent that they will make every effort to devote their whole efforts only to their academic pursuit. Merely, our staff's efforts our important but it would be impossible to be re-occupants of the dormitory without the students' cooperation. Thus, lastly, I request every student to treat this place as a gathering of different personalities since this is a place where everyone is leading a community life. Let us do our best so that each person would respect each other's individuality, together with interest and affection, mutual care and compromises. I am hoping that Kangwon National University students to take pride of dormitory living together as residents who abide by its rules and regulations. Thank you very much.
